The Jacksonville Country Club is one of George Cobb’s first designed golf courses. Established in 1954 Jacksonville Country Club was constructed on old farm land. Cobb loved to design courses on the natural lay of the land and did so with Jacksonville Country Club. The soft rolling hills, pine tree lined fairways, and four sets of tee markers offer a great challenge for any skilled golfer. We have recently undergone a greens restoration by replacing the old Bermuda greens with Mine Verde which is a Bermuda Hybrid. The greens roll a smooth, consistent speed of 9 to 11 on the Stimpmeter throughout the year. This course plays host to many CPGA events including one of the biggest junior tournaments in the Carolina's-The Jimmy Anderson Invitational for Boys and Girls.
