We worked with Scott Burns on 7 Days for the Troops event at an Air Show in the Vicksburg -Tallulah area. Scott was an inspiration to watch and his commitment & dedication for helping disabled veterans was so evident! He helped raise over $16k at our event for Purple Heart

Scott Burns is an amazing community member and such a friend to veterans! His reach is far and wide. So grateful to know him and see the love of Christ in the work he does for others. ❤️

If you are looking for a cause to support, I would suggest 7 Days For the Troops. Scott Burns has worked so hard to make this event a success and his work has benefited so many DAV’s across our state. God bless you Scott for all your effort. We at Tupelo Coca Cola will continue to give our support hopefully for years to come.

Scott came into my office and introduced himself and told me what he wanted to do. His passion and honest desire to help other Vets shows through every ounce of his being. I immediately said "Yes!" then we figured out how to do it! Everything he does is professional and well-planned. Scott does not just ask for money and volunteer help - he is right in there with them from building the scaffolding to tearing it down. His energy is endless and contagious. We raised $18,000 in Pearl, MS to remodel a veteran's home to make it accessible. We are working on bringing the event to Hallandale Beach, FL. Can't wait!!

Chief Development Officer - Purple Heart Homes, Inc

“On behalf of the entire Purple Heart Homes team, I’d like to say thank you for the long time and continued support of our organization through your fundraising efforts with 7 Days for the Troops. During 2021, you held these events in Tupelo, MS, Tallulah-Richmond, LA, and Statesville, NC. With these three events, you raised more than $70,000 of cash and in-kind donations for Purple Heart Homes. This was quite the feat with two of the three venues being first time locations and with the Statesville event almost not happening. Thank you for your efforts to raise money in support of our nations disabled Veterans and Purple Heart Homes. We hope this relationship continues well into the future and more Veterans can be assisted through this partnership. As of the date of this letter, Purple Heart Homes has assisted 895 service-connected disabled and aging Veterans with their housing needs, and we look forward to serving the 1,000+ additional Veterans who have applied for our assistance. Thank you again for the support and making these events possible. We can’t do what we do without you. Respectfully, Anthony “Paul” Cockerham Chief Development Officer Purple Heart Homes, Inc.
